Families and individuals needing services outside the Metro Area can visit http://www.211colorado.org/ for information about call centers in other parts of the state.

A list of homeless service providers (shelters, support services, food banks) in the Denver Metro Area is available on the website of Denver’s Road Home Program.

In Person:

Please visit Coalition staff at 2111 Champa Street in Denver. 

Families are seen on a walk-in basis, throughout the day, Monday through Friday starting at 8:30 a.m. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. Please arrive early. Although it is not required, it is helpful if you can bring your social security number, a photo ID, birth certificates of any dependent children and information about your rental history, income and assets. If you would like to get on the wait list for transitional housing, please call our main number to make an appointment.

Individuals are seen, on a walk-in basis at 8:30 a.m. and at 12:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday and at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.  Doors open at 7:30 a.m. Please arrive early.

Directions: The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless offices are located at 2111 Champa Street in Denver, 80205.  That’s on the corner of Broadway and Champa.  There is a bus stop at the corner of 21st and Champa.  For the best public transportation route, visit the RTD website and type in your departing address in the trip planner. Parking: There is metered parking in front of our offices.  There are two $2 lots on Champa between Park Avenue West and Broadway. 

Healthcare Services:

Healthcare services are available for adults and children experiencing homelessness at the Coalition’s Stout Street Clinic, 2100 Broadway Street in Denver. 

Same day medical appointments can be scheduled by calling 303.293.2220, #3 between 8:00 a.m. - noon, except on Wednesdays. Walk in medical appointments are taken Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays between 8:00 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on Wednesdays from noon until 5 p.m.

Pediatric visits are welcome anytime during Clinic Hours.

Foreclosure Assistance

The Colorado Foreclosure Hotline is a free service to Colorado homeowners who have questions about their home loans.   You can also call 1-877-601-HOPE.

Energy Assistance

The Low Income Energy Assistance Program provides help with heating bills.  To receive assistance, you must submit an application to the county where you reside.  Applications will be accepted from November 1, 2008 through April 30, 2009.
