What information does the Coalition collect and how is it used?
When visitors come to our site, we collect non-identifying, basic information that helps us evaluate the quality and relevance of our web pages. This includes statistics such as the total number of visitors in a day, week or month, or the pages most frequently viewed. We use this information in the aggregate to continually improve our site and to make your experience as smooth and informative as possible.
Donations made on-line are secure. When you make a donation to the Coalition on-line, we ask for your name, address, phone, e-mail address, and credit card information. We use this information to process your donation(s) and verify credit card data. Addresses submitted for honoree or tribute gifts are not retained after the gift notice is delivered to the recipient.
The Coalition maintains a policy to discontinue contacting any person upon their oral or written request. Our address and phone number are noted on the bottom of this page.
We also offer visitors the option to “Log In” and create a “Profile”. This makes future donations quicker because some of your contact information (not your credit card number) is then stored in our system and automatically appears when you begin to complete a Donation Form.

Will the Coalition share my information?
We do not share your personal information with any third party. It is our policy not to sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone. We may disclose to third parties statistics regarding donations but these statistics do not include any personally identifying information. The information given may include: total number of donors, total amount of donations for specific periods of time, and referring websites. Information of this kind is used to encourage fundraising partnerships.
We use a third-party financial institution to process our credit card transactions. They receive the credit card number and other personal information of our donors only to verify credit card numbers and to process credit card transactions in a secure environment. Once the transaction is complete, they do not store or share your information.

3. How does the Coalition provide a secure environment for my on-line donations?
Our on-line system allows you to make safe donations. We use the latest encryption technology, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), to ensure that no one can read your information as it is being processed. Our on-line credit card verification system is handled by a third party, which collects your name, address, phone, credit card number and expiration date in order to process your transaction. Their encryption technology offers the highest level of security available on the Internet today. They have state-of-the-art firewalls and other security technology in place to guarantee the confidentiality of your transactions.
