Grand Opening Event for Permanent Supportive Housing—February 16, 2016
Governor Hickenlooper, along with federal, state, and local stakeholders, will gather to celebrate the opening of Renaissance at North Colorado Station.
DENVER, February 3, 2016 –The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless proudly announces the completion of its newest project of permanent supportive housing for low-income families and individuals, Renaissance at North Colorado Station. Renaissance at North Colorado Station offers 103 apartment homes targeted to low-income families and individuals, including those that have experienced homelessness, with a portion of these units dedicated to the City and County of Denver’s Social Impact Bond Initiative. Federal, state, and local stakeholders will gather to celebrate the grand opening event on February 16, 2016. The program will include tours of the building and special guests Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock, Councilman Albus Brooks, Rick and Jessica Schaden, and Colorado Coalition for the Homeless President John Parvensky.

The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being and stability of those it serves. Since its founding more than 30 years ago, the organization has earned state and national recognition for its integrated healthcare, housing and service programs. The Coalition’s comprehensive approach addresses the causes of homelessness, as well as the consequences, offering critical assistance to over 15,000 individuals and families each year.
