Thank you for your interest in learning more about homelessness in Colorado and ways the Coalition works to support the most vulnerable people in the state with housing, healthcare, and advocacy. The Coalition provides presentations over Zoom or in person in the Denver metro area to groups of eight or more.
The Education and Advocacy team of Colorado Coalition for the Homeless provides a set curriculum to help people gain a practical understanding of the State of Homelessness on a national and local level, causes and consequences, and innovative solutions. We require a minimum of 45 minutes with Q&A included, but one hour is preferred.
Presentations are limited to weekdays, excluding holidays, between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
For smaller groups interested in learning about homelessness, please check out our Homelessness 101 session on YouTube.color
The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is happy to provide a presentation to children and teens from 4th grade through 12th grade. Due to the sensitive topics we cover, we are unable to work with younger children.
4th - 6th Grades: Presentation topics include a homelessness overview (what is homelessness, what are the causes of homelessness, what does it look like), the importance of People First Language, “what you can do”, and an activity.
7-12th Grades: Presentation topics include a homelessness overview (what is homelessness, what are the causes of homelessness, what does it look like), how to be an advocate, and “what you can do”. Please let us know if you would also like time for Q&A.
