Homeless Persons' Memorial Vigil to be Held on December 21, 2018
Date: Friday, December 21, 2018
Time: 5:30 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.
Location: Front Steps of the Denver City and County Building, 1437 Bannock Street
For the twenty-ninth year, several hundred concerned citizens will gather on the steps of the Denver City and County Building Friday evening to attend the We Will Remember: Homeless Persons' Memorial Vigil. Hosted by the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, the candlelight vigil and name-reading ceremony will pay tribute to our neighbors who lived on the streets of the Denver metropolitan area and died during 2018. This will be the only memorial service that will be conducted for most of these individuals. The public is welcome and invited to attend this event.
Speakers will include: John Parvensky, President of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless; Lindi Sinton, Vice President of Program Operations of Volunteers of America; Brad Meuli, President/CEO of Denver Rescue Mission; Christina Carlson, CEO of Urban Peak; Randle Loeb, Board Member of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless; and Tom Luehrs, Executive Director of St. Francis Center. Special thanks to Denver's Road Home and the City and County of Denver.
